The Calm Before the Storm

I am sitting in an empty, quiet and fairly clean house.  I know in a few hours this will all end.  It will be summer.  Kids will be home.  It will be loud, messy and I will wonder if working from home is really so ideal.

I love not having so much of a schedule, although thanks to Sophie we will not be schedule free this summer.  I like not having so many practices, making lunches, homework etc.  And I do enjoy the kids being around more.  It is both a blessing and a curse. 

So for now, I am just soaking in the quiet - and when August comes around, I will be ready for schedule, structure and quiet again.  For now - let the summer begin.
